Best Team Effort

Best Team Effort is awarded to the event with the best collaborative effort between the various aspects of the events industry. All parties bring the best of their skills and abilities to create something spectacular

Event Planning

Best Event: Corporation/Association (Over/Under $20k)

Best Event for a Corporation and/or Association is given to the company/individual who produced the best overall event. Overall event cost at full retail value must fall into the Above or Under $20k categories.

Best Event: Social Event (Over/Under $20k)

Best Event for a Social gathering is given to the company/individual who produced the best overall event in a social setting, such as bar/bat mitzvahs, sweet 16’s, reunions, proms, etc. The only social events excluded from this category are weddings (see “Wedding” section). Overall event cost at full retail value must fall into the Above or Under $20k categories.

Best Public Fair or Festival

This award is given to the company/individual that put on the best fair or festival. The event must be open to the public.

Most Creative Venue

Most Creative Venue is awarded to the company/individual that utilized a non-traditional venue for their event.

Logistical Achievement: Planning

Logistical Achievement in Planning is awarded to the company/individuals who overcame substantial obstacles in the planning process.

Best Tradeshow/Conference

Best Tradeshow/Conference is awarded to the company/individuals who planned and produced the best tradeshow and/or conference.

Event Design

Best Floral Design

Best Floral Design is awarded to the best company/individual who produced the best floral design for an event. This category excludes display tables.

Best Non-Floral Design

Best Non-Floral Design is awarded to the best company/individual who produced the best non-floral design for an event. This category excludes display tables.

Best Themed Event Décor

Best Themed Event Décor is awarded to the company/individual who created décor that allows the event’s theme to come to life.

Best Tabletop Design

Best Tabletop Design is awarded to the company/individual who created the best tabletop design (floral or non-floral) for an event. It encompasses centerpieces, flatware, china, glassware, linens, etc. This category excludes display tables.

Event Cuisine

Best Plated Meal (Over/Under $30++)

Best Plated Meal is awarded to the company/individual who created the best menu, including presentation. The cost should not include taxes or gratuity.

Best Reception Stations

Best Reception Stations are the best use of reception stations – whether it is a meal or hors d’oeuvre style.

Best Buffet Menu

Best Buffet Menu is presented to the company/individual who created the best buffet menu regardless of price.

Best Plate

Best Plate is awarded to the best plate of wow! Price point does not matter, but it does need to be a menu item that was sold, not just proposed.

Most Sustainable Menu

The Most Sustainable Menu Award is given to the company/individual who produced the most sustainable/green menu – utilizing local, farm-to-table ingredients, sustainably raised meats, etc.

Entertainment

Best Entertainment Production (Over/Under $20k)

Best Entertainment Production is awarded to the company/individual who produced the best production – including lighting, rigging, entertainment, A/V, etc. Overall production cost at full retail value must fall into the Above or Under $20k categories.

Best Themed Entertainment

Best Themed Entertainment is awarded to the company/individual who planned the event’s entertainment which brings the overall theme to life.

Best Unique Entertainment

Best Unique Entertainment is awarded to the company/individual who utilized non-traditional entertainment for an event.

Technical Production

Best AV Design

Best AV Design is awarded to the company/individual who produced the best Audio Visual design to bring the event to life.

Best Lighting Design

Best Lighting Design is awarded to the company/individual who created the best lighting to enhance their event.

Best Tent Installation

Best Tent Installation is awarded to the company/individual who best utilized tenting in any setting (including weddings).

Best Use of Rental Equipment

Best Use of Rental Equipment is awarded to the company/individual who best used rental equipment to enhance their event.

Logistical Achievement: Technical Production

Logistical Achievement in Planning is awarded to the company/individuals who overcame substantial obstacles in the technical production process.

Event Enhancements

Best Graphic Design

Best Graphic Design is awarded to the company/individual who created the best invitation, menu cards, programs, flyers, etc. for an event.

Best Use of Media/Technology

Best Use of Media/Technology is awarded to the company/individual who utilized alternative methods of communication or marketing including websites, social media, CD’s, DVD’s, video mapping (do not include print media).

Best Event Marketing

Best Event Marketing is awarded to the company/individual who promoted the event in the most creative, effective manner (either/or in print or digitally).

Best Event Photography

Best Event Photography is given to the company/individual whose photography best captured the event, theme and overall spirit of the occasion.

Wedding Planning & Design

Best Event: Wedding (Over/Under $20k)

Best Event for a Wedding is given to the company/individual who produced the best overall wedding. Over all event cost at full retail value must fall into the above or Under $20k categories.

Most Creative Wedding Venue

Most Creative Wedding Venue is awarded to the company/individual that utilized a non-traditional venue for a wedding.

Best Wedding Floral Design

Best Wedding Floral Design is awarded to the best company/individual who produced the best floral design for a wedding. This category excludes display tables.

Most Creative Menu

Most Creative Menu is given to the company/individual who created the best job bringing the bride’s theme to life through food and beverage.

Best Cake Presentation

Best Cake Presentation is awarded to the company/individuals who created the best visual display of the wedding cakes (may include groom cakes).
